“The inoculation of beneficiaries for the precautionary dose as part of the free vaccination campaign has increased considerably. We vaccinated 1,383,307 beneficiaries in Maharashtra from July 16 to July 24. Many also took their second dose. There are 17,507,528 recipients due for the second dose in the state,” Dr. Desai said.
Although the third vaccine is available for the 18 to 45 age group at private vaccination centers as a paid dose, the Center’s free vaccination campaign has increased uptake, officials said. health.

Under Azadi’s Amrit Mahotsav, a 75-day free vaccination campaign was launched from July 15 for citizens over 18 years of age.
